The working delegation of World Bank (WB) and the Central Project Management Board on September 7, 2022 worked with the Management Board of VILG project (Vietnam Improved Land Governance and Database) in Bac Giang province to inspect implementation of the VILG project.
The delegation was received by Luong Van Nghiep, Vice Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Vice Director of Bac Giang VILG project Management Board, other members of the project Management Board as representatives of the provincial Land Registration Office and divisions and units under the Department.

At the meeting, Mr. Luong Van Nghiep reported on the construction progress of land database and operation and exploitation of the land database. The districts involving in the project including Viet Yen, Lang Giang, Luc Nam, Yen Dung and Yen The launched on the land management system software (VBDLIS).
Bac Giang VILG project Management Board has regularly supervised, accelerated and inspected construction progress of the bidding packages and collaboration among contractors, supervision consultant, Divisions of Natural Resources and Environment and land registration offices in the districts of Luc Nam, Lang Giang, Yen The, Tan Yen,Viet Yen and Yen Dung. Besides, they paid high attention to surmounting difficulties and obstacles in the project implementation and recommended solutions and detailed construction plans to fulfill the assignments on progress.
After discussing with the participants at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bac Giang province, the working delegation paid a field trip to Lang Giang district to grasp the real situation, implementation of VBDLIS software, running and exploiting the database.
In conclusion, the delegation highly appreciated the results gained by Bac Giang VILG project Management Board in the project districts, In addition, the delegates urged the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bac Giang province and the VILG project Management Board to continue boosting the contractors to speed up the project progress. Besides, they need to collaborate with the project districts to direct competent agencies, people’s committee of the communes and towns to implement specific tasks of the project as well as providing documentation, organizing propaganda and implementing activities within the ethnic minority development plan, regularly evaluate and check upon the project progress to timely deal with difficulties and obstacles in implementation.
